This reel that promises 14 Ball bearings has only 6. It has 2 on the pinion gear, plus the anti-reverse roller bearing, and 2 on the ends of the main gear. There is a ball bearing in the line roller The advertisement shows one BB above the spool click gear on the main shaft. There is none. The drag is nicely oiled woolen felt with stainless washers. The anti-reverse functions well. The drag functions well. The bail functions well. It is well oiled and greased and easy to disassemble. I have been disassembling reels since the 1950's. My first was a Horrocks and Ibbotson Hi-Spin. As usual there are no instructions nor parts list. The bearings are unshielded and the reel is unsuitable for salt water |
